The newest EDM DJ/Producer to sign with Def Jam, Reid Stefan brings powerful energy and a fresh sound to the music that he creates, mixes and produces. Despite humble beginnings DJing at house parties, proms and everything in-between, Reid worked his way up the musical ladder through deftly released remixes and club singles that impressed some of the most discerning ears in dance music.

Getting his start as an intern at Z100 in New York, Reid’s lowly position had one great advantage: access to unreleased pop singles. Reid created a name for himself releasing bootleg remixes of hit songs moments after the original hit the airwaves.

Thanks to a steady proliferation of free digital releases along with his tongue-in-cheek social media presence, Reid has established a solid fan base, accumulating over 20 million YouTube views on his channel alone. Much of this success is due largely to Reid’s multi-genre production style. “There are no boundaries within my music,” Reid points out. “Breaking genre barriers is key to standing out. Whether it’s doing something completely left-field or simply merging two styles, it’s important to keep people on their toes.”
