IEDM Radio Episode 175: Cuebrick

German DJ and producer Cuebrick has been a major player in the electronic dance scene for over 3 years. Gaining international attention after a series of releases and high-profile remixes on labels like Enhanced Recordings, Ultra Music, Mixmash and Armada, it’s no surprise that his sound has attracted an ever-growing fanbase. 

While delivering high quality content for his fan base, Cuebrick caught the attention of major influencers such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Nicky Romero, W&W, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Tritonal, and The Chainsmokers. The increasing popularity of those artists opened the door for Cuebrick to perform at many festivals in Germany and Austria during the summer of 2016. These performances included his main stage performance at Nature One, Mayday, Electric Love, WinterWorld, and Ruhr In Love.

In addition to his production and performance schedule, Cuebrick also works as a host on bigFM’s “nitroX” show. iEDM Radio Episode 174: ESH

ESH has flourished ever since entering the world of EDM in 2015. Hailing from Vienna, Austria, he first experienced major success after releasing a future house rendition of Maroon 5’s “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt”. He kept the flame burning with top-notch remixes for the likes of Jasmine Thompson, Galantis, Vice, and The Chainsmokers.

Throughout his career, ESH has honed his signature sound to a tee and his productions undoubtedly prove that. After receiving a large amount of support in 2016, he released his debut single “Rebels” featuring vocals from Eurovision Song Contest attendant Rykka. Consistent in both his output and the quality of his work, he continues to cement his status as a rising artist in the genre as a whole.

As he ventures into original works, he achieved major support over the summer on Spotify for his “My Favorite Game” reinterpretation. His follow-up singles “Higher” and “Break Your Heart” have received similar results in recent weeks. IEDM Radio Episode 173: D-Wayne

D-Wayne is an artist known for his serious zest for life, and combined with a relentless ambition and drive, a successful DJ was born. D-Wayne found his passion for music after DJing at school parties. After an early contract offer from world-renowned DJ and producer Afrojack, D-Wayne was thrown into massive crowds that helped develop the unique style that we see in his new single, “Trippin’”. Even with serious touring schedules, D-Wayne and Afrojack have declared that they’ll be good friends for a long time.

D-Wayne has seen collaborations with various DJ’s such as Afrojack, Yves V, Gabriel & Dresden, Crossnaders, as well as releasing tracks on Nervous Records, Wall Recordings, Wolv and Future House Music. He’s delved into many dance music sub-genres, and even worked with live musicians in more indie and pop based projects. IEDM Radio Episode 172: Orjan Nilsen

Dedicated, hardworking, and energetic – three words that best attempt to describe what Norwegian hot-shot DJ Ørjan Nilsen is about. In the past few years, he has been impressing audiences across the planet with his own take on who a 21st century DJ and producer should be.

Born in 1982 in the Norwegian town of Kirkenes, Ørjan had little doubt about what career he wanted to pursue. Having listened to countless CD compilations and seeing EDM legends perform, Ørjan quickly knew that the DJ booth would be his domain one day.

Ørjan's work with the dutch label Armada Music started with the track “Red Woods” (released in 2006 under his DJ Governor alias), and over the years Ørjan found his groove, showing flashed of his huge potential with classics such as “La Guitarra” (2008) and Lovers Lane and So Long Radio (2010). Ørjan went on to release his first album in 2011, titled “In My Opinion”, and followed its release with “No Saint Out of Me” in 2013.

As a DJ, Nilsen quickly established himself with an infectious blend of all things chunky and groovy, and his energy and presence behind the decks have taken him around the world. He’s played at some of the world’s finest clubs and biggest festivals, from Sao Paulo to Sydney and many places in-between.

One thing is certain, there is no stopping this Norwegian prodigy,, be it in the studio or in the DJ booth.
